Just a follow-up to let you know that Annie(Paris) is doing great.  Everything you said is true, her personality is great and she is with me all day.  She is sleeping at my feet with her head resting on my foot as I type.  She is eating well, sleeping well and is almost too good to be true.

Thanks for parting with her

Karen,

All is well - we took Buster to the vet today and he checked out perfect.  They put him on a puppy plan for the balance of the de-worming, shots, etc.  We then took him to purrsnikity - a cute little cat-dog place and got him two outfits (my daughter insisted on these), two plush blankets (nicer than my throws on my couch, a real nice doggie bed - cleaned out our last dogs large kennel for him to sleep downstairs with us and put them in there with his water.  He hasn't quite adjusted to where to potty - but we are working on that.

My daughter just rocked him to sleep (like she does every time he is sleepy - and we put him in his kennel downstairs and he is fast asleep right now.  He got so much attention when we went shopping today - and of course, we never let him down to walk and we won't until he is safe from the Parvo virus.  He is too precious to us to ever chance it.

It is so cute to see just how Buster has made our whole family laugh together and bond in a whole new way.  We have all been through so much emotionally lately - he is just what we all needed in our lives.

Thank you sooo much again!!

Hello Karen,
I bet you're missing her!! She is such a sweety just like you said. I am just floored at how good she is she goes in her pet taxi and never whines. She's so funny she likes to chase after the kids and to see a little thing like that running as fast as she does, we laugh so hard at her!! Hello,

Let us inroduce ourselves to you. We are Jim and Kathy Lunde. We live in Wisconsin, have resided there most of our lives outside the time Jim spent in the Army. The picture you are looking at is that of Miss Ellie. She is the second Hobbit Hill English Jack Russell Terrier that we have been privileged to own. We say "second" because the first Jack Russell that we adopted from Karen Adams was a beautiful male, his name was Tucker.
The reason that we even researched the possibility of obtaining another English Jack Russell was because our first pup, Mickey, also a purebred Jack Russell had an allergic reaction to anesthetic while undergoing a procedure at our veterinarian clinic and we lost him. He is pictured on the Jack Russell Memorial page.

We searched all over Wisconsin and could not find another breeder of purebred English Jack Russell Terriers. Anxious to fill the terrible void left when we lost Mickey, we kept searching. We found Hobbit Hill’s website. I quickly told my husband Jim about it and he said to try and call, maybe they had some pups left yet. I called and spoke to Karen. She told me that both males were still available, but she had someone interested in one.
My husband and I decided to act quickly and contact them to make arrangements to take a male. Karen said that she would ready him to be shipped and I told her that I really didn’t want to do that, I would be coming down to get him. She was absolutely thrilled that we would want to pick him up instead of having him shipped, although it is very common to do so. Karen and Mike went so far as to meet us "half way" in picking up Tucker. I knew immediately upon meeting them, that they were wonderful people and that they truly loved these animals, "like members of their families".

I took Tucker home and he just fit right in. He adapted well to our grandchildren, and they to him. It seemed that they were always more anxious to see Tucker than visit with us. One day in October I took Tucker along with me outside to dig my flower bulbs and ready them for storage.
He was having a blast taking the stalks I cut for him and shaking them to pieces. I just looked away for a second to cut another stalk off for him and he was gone.I immediately started calling to him and started walking toward the house. As I got nearer to the house and look up toward it, I saw what made my heart sink. Tucker was lying on the side of the road. Someone had hit him............ Killed him instantly. It took us a few days, but we said we had better call Karen and Mike and let them know what had happened to Tucker. Well, they felt as bad as we did. We received a call the next morning, and Karen told us that she and Mike had been discussing our telephone call and what had happened. She then presented us with an unbelievable offer. Since we had lost (2) pups now, so tragically, they could only imagine how badly we felt. She told us that if we would consider their offer, they would like to "give us" Tucker’s sister, Miss Ellie. Possibly it would take away some of our sadness. Absolutely unbelievable! We said that we would love to have her. Miss Ellie has been a part of the Lunde family since October.

She is a beautiful dog , very smart with a great disposition. She loves her home and all of the attention she can get from my husband and myself............ and she really loves the grandchildren. She gets absolutely "wound up" whenever they come. Ellie has quite another interesting trait. If something really peaks her curiosity, she will stand straight up on her hind legs with her ears perked and will walk around like that until
she finds what she is hearing.

So, if you are looking for high quality English Jack Russell pups, that adapt very well to any home and that will give back 300% of affection in return, just contact Karen  Adams at Hobbit Hill. I promise you will find exactly what you are looking for and more. You get the added bonus of people who genuinely care for their animals. They also are very careful and concerned where these pups are going, as they should be. Karen and Mike are also very special in how they treat others, with a kindness that is rarely found in this day and age.

Sincerely,

Kathy and Jim Lunde & family

Hello Karen.
Spanky is doing very well. He is learning where to use it,playing good and everything else.We took him to the vet
last wednesday. The vet and every body else just loved him.Wanda said he was the star attraction. The vet was very  impressed with his confirmation and markings. She said he was going to be a muscled up little boy. He stays in his  play pen while Wanda is cleaning or cooking. We take him outside and let him play a lot.He dosn,t get to far away, from us yet, but he is starting to explore more.  At night I put him in bed with us and he lays his head next to mine and at five when the alarm clock goes off we all wake up. The grand kids really love him of course. The only problem is getting  them to put him down.We just love him and thanks again.    We will take some pictures of him and email them to you,but I have to get my kids to do it if you know what I mean.Spanky seems to really like to ride on our little horses back.He sinks his claws in and holds on, of course we are holding on to him

Hi Karen,
I just wanted to let you know that Tinkerbell had her first vet visit with us yesterday. Everything checked out. The vet said she was a very healthy puppy, but you already knew that! She was such a good girl for the vet. She is getting quite a few shots during our next visit (Dec. 27th). But then the vet said she will be able to start obedience classes any time after that. So, we are excited about that!

She hardly chews on anything she's not supposed to (knock on wood). Our only problem is crate training. She cries a lot, but we know it will take time. She is a gorgeous little girl, everything we ever wanted!!! I will send you some pictures as soon as we get some good ones. CJ was gone snowmobiling this weekend, so we couldn't take pictures together.

Thanks Again!!!

Talk to you soon,
Emily

I just wanted to get in touch and thank you for being so nice about taking Anna to Atlanta (Texas) for us to avoid a plane ride for her (and the extra expense for us).  She is very special to us and I will try to send pictures as she grows.  God be with you and your family!  Gladys

Hi Karen: I apologise for not getting back sooner with you: since the Christmas and New Year seasons are thankfully past, life is back to normal again and I now have more time to respond to e-mails.Both Dannyboy and I are well: thanks for asking. When I received Dannyboy from you in late November he weighed in on his first vet visit at a little over three pounds. Yesterday we had our third visit to his Vet,Dr. Faulk, DVM for the third lot of vaccinations and he weighed in at six pounds and ten ounces.( He is now almost 8 pounds in weight as of today,1-13-2008)He will have a booster distemper shot in three weeks and apart from his ongoing monthly Advantage program application, that should complete his medical treatments for a little while. He is scheduled to be neutered in April.  He is very healthy and progressing extremely well: you probably would not recognise him now as he has grown up in leaps and bounds. He adjusted well from the very beginning to the use of his crate where he sleeps undisturbed all night. From the very beginning, I never instituted paper toilet training but instead took him outside frequently for bathroom purposes and apart from a few minor spills he has almost mastered being totally housebroken. Since he has full range of my home he never once soiled on the floor or in his crate so I am very proud of him.  He is a very fine and  handsome puppy and is a bundle of firm muscle and untold energy , (no fat in evidence at all). His vet echoed this statement when we visited yesterday. Apart from his frequent bathroom breaks I give him two brisk walks every day and so both of us cover somewhere between four-five miles each day.He loves the outdoors and is proving to be extremely sociable in meeting people and other dogs.He loves to play. His intelligence and level of alertness and inquisitiveness are remarkable. He has adjusted well to the use of his collar, harness and leash and already I have almost completed training him to heel, sit, give his paw, stay and go fetch etc. Anything that moves, eg; leaves, birds, squirrels etc. he is ready to go after it and he would likewise be inclined to chase moving vehicles but we are working on controlling that little issue. Everywhere he goes he is admired by both men and women. His skin is healthy and his coat is absolutely beautiful, soft and bright with a nice sheen. People even stop their vehicles and remark, "What a gorgeous little puppy" or "That's the cutest little dog I have ever seen"! I feel like replying,"What about me"? Dr. Faulk and his staff are also very impressed with him. He gave him a clean bill of health and is greatly impressed with his progress and winsome personality. Dannyboy has brought much joy and challenge to me and I love him dearly. As I write this note to you he is sound asleep on my lap, his favourite place to rest.
Karen, I highly commend you for breeding such a fine quality canine and  thank you sincerely for being instrumental in bringing Dannyboy into my life.It was a pleasure to do business with you.

Karen,
Hannah is doing fine and adjusting fast. I think that she will be a breeze with house training. She is yet to mess on the floor, and every time we take her outside she does her business right away. She definately is full of energy and playful. The 2 pictures of her with my son in his bean bag chair are from Wednesday while she was recovering from jet lag. The rest are from last night. I can't tell who wore who out, but Hannah and my wife Tammy were both asleep on the couch by 9:30.   She is a great pup and we are happy to have her.

Thanks for everything,

Just a quick note from Yvonne on Mother's day and this picture -

"We truly love our Eli"

Thank you Yvonne - he's a beauty!
Hi Karen

She is doing great!  We adore her. These are just the first of many pictures to come. She absolutely loves the grass. She rolls around in it, runs & hops around in it like a bunny.

Last night she did better than I expected. At first I had her in an open box next to my bed. After a few hours she began jumping up high enough to tip it or flip out of it. So I switched to the kennel & it was alot better. We went outside several times to potty, but no accidents so it was worth it.

She is learning the pecking order quickly around with my cat & 15 yr old jack russell. They are actually being quite tolerant of her, but they've had practice because we often dog & puppy sit for friends.

I  didn't get to thank you yesterday for being so accomodating every step of the way. I was too preoccupied with my little girl!  Glad you made the most of the trip. Thank you for everything. I think it's a great match.

thanks again

Hi Karen,
Just want to tell you thank you for our little Rusty Fisichella.  He is a perfect fit for our little family, and has been adjusting well to life in Idaho.  We have enjoyed taking him on walks in the foothills here.  He is so friendly to anyone he comes across, and everyone loves him as soon as they see how adorable he is.  Thank you so much for everything!
Andi and Kyle Wiese
P.S. Here are some of his first pictures at his new home.
WHAT ABSOLUTE DOLLS THESE PUPPIES ARE!  They love me and I love them.  Slept under my armpit until 3:00 this morning, when Chanel started to become restless.  They both went out and immediately did their business in a freshly bedded stall.  I put them back in their kennel by the bed and had to wake them at 7:00, after I had done my housework, when it was time to feed horses.  They have had visitors and went to cleaners, hardware, etc. where they watched from their car seat when I did my errands.  Love to lay on my lap as I drive and attach their toys in the rubber-matted barn isle.  Have to blow up all the hay, as Chanel loves to put it in her mouth.  They are so healthy and happy and strong.  Thank you again.  Fondly, Donna
Karen,
I  just got home and got a good look at her.  She is much cuter than I even expected.  And what a nice temperment--very people oriented.  She met some other dogs, but prefered to be with me.  Thank you so much for such a cute puppy..  There are none in this area so she should be a good ambassador for the breed.

Just to tell you AGAIN how much I love this puppy---especially her personality---her tail is always going- never met a person she didn't like (good for the breed).  I like outgoing and not standoffish dogs and she is perfect.  I will get better pictures of her--she is really developing very nicely--ears look great, becoming a little higher set and nice and close to her head---she's getting more muscle tone from playing with the other dogs and going on long walks---she is a well put together dog.  I thank you again for sending such a beautiful puppy----I hate buying dogs sight unseen, but you were very honest in the evaluation of your puppy.
THANKS!!

Karen,
Sorry I have not given you a progress report sooner.  We are having WAY TOO MUCH FUN here in Charleston, SC. with the beautiful new additions to our family.  I have had Jacks for sixteen years, but they do not compare to these wonderful pups.  They are incredibly smart and calm and loving.  They go everywhere with me and are at the door of the car when I open it.  They sit patiently while I do short errands, only occasionally re-filing some of my paperwork in the console of the SUV.  We go on long walks by the ocean and the marshlands here in Charleston and "come" has turned into "biscuit" to get an immediate response.  Who cares, as long as it makes them happy.  They are sleeping like Rip Van Rinkle and eating like Rocky and playing like Michael Jordon.  What a blessing to have them both.  Thank you again.  Pictures will be coming by snail mail.  Fondly, Donna  P. S.  All the pups are so cute that you have placed ------ BUT, NONE ARE AS BEAUTIFUL AS CHANEL AND GUCCI.

Karen,

I am sorry it has taken me so long to get you some pics of Max with his new family.  We are absolutly in love with him and I think he feels the same.  Samantha and Amelia just can not get enough of the little guy.

He is doing so good with his potty training and next week he will start puppy play dates at his vet.  Our vet and his wife, who also is a vet in the practice, were very impressed with Max.  They had a Jack Russell pass not long ago as well and before we left they had looked up your site.

He is growing up so fast, we had to go and buy him a new collar yedsterday.  Thank you so much!  I will stay in touch.
